There is always a reason

ZThe day I came back to GA five years ago I knew I had a big reason for being back and I didn't know what that reason was then. But watever it was I knew would change my life... A few months later I met a family that Filpped my world up side down. I started off as just the girl with the camera (in my eyes) and ending up growing into something bigger. I in turn became a part of this family. I looked around this weekend and remembered why I fell in love with this family in the first place .... It's the bond that carries on for a lifetime ... And love that is not shared by blood but by loyalty... A choice to stand together. Taking life and being true to it all with the ones that don't let you run ... they will let you fall. They will help you up and tell you when it's all wrong. They are the kind of family that holds on to each other through it all. 

I started of just writing about them and now we are building something much bigger.. I don't just work with them, and it's  not always a party ... I grind, cry, fight, learn, lAugh, argue, and most of all I grow with them. They have made me better. I get to experience the story ...I get to tell the story..... And The most exciting part you people have
no idea what's about to hit you next. But you shall see.... Another epic weekend with the family the crew I love the most. We do what we do and we are who we are. But together it just works. L.I.E it is truly a lifestyle.

Amongst Greatness

I got the chance to meet a long time friend of Gibbz......CP The Artist. 

To meet him.... I must say it was a inspirational pleasure. 

As I listened to some of CP's story I was very intrigued. The way he created and built has own brand, then created a way to market himself was brilliant. He created a lane for himself and managed to explore many others. The journey was worth hearing. 

A great example of making art come to life . As I like to say "The Art in Living. "

CP sat with Gibbz and they told stories of when they were young in Perth Amboy NJ. The fun days and how their worlds where different then. He Spoke on how he started off making flyers for  Gibbz and his crew when they were young. 

He now has his own art shows and travels across the country to display his work amongst many other things. CP showed love, respect, and energy for his life and art. These are the things you love to see most from a artist. 

These two hadn't seen each other in a lil over 20 years. Listening to them talk about where they came from and where they are now was moving. I could hear the love and respect they had for each other. 

Between Gibbz's music background and CP's background these two have touched many different circles in life. Mean while they stayed true to their art the whole time. The passion for what they do is so real you can feel it when your hear them just speak on the subject.... It was really cool to be apart of this reunion. 

One of those moments when you look up and you are amongst greatness!

A Circle's Only Strength is the Links That Connect It.

...there are people who are in their circle just to feel like a part of something. Most times it is some kind of validation that they are looking for. Well I have learned first hand what it is to be a part of one; where you will not find validation, but you will find truth you won't find pity, but you will find support. Being a part of a circle is more then just being present. Its letting yourself be open, uncovered, and unselfish.

I built a wall of protection based on the life I lead.That kept me from getting to close to a circle for to long. When I found myself in the world of  Mr. L.I.E and the P.O.S. family. I  found out how selfish I had become from that protection. I use to think it was the big dramatic things that could be the most damaging and hurtful. When really its  the smaller details that can hurt and do the most damage.

It is easy to think about yourself in every situation that happens. How will any of it affect you whether it be good, bad, happy or sad. Our first reaction is to think about ourselves and what we want and how we are going to end up on the other side.  When I began to get close to this family  I thought I was opening up to them. What I didn't realize was how thick and how tall my wall of protection had become. In every situation especially  my personal fuck ups I over looked others feelings, how they may have been hurt, and the disappointment. Only thinking about my own shame, self pity, and foolishness. Upset about what I lost or what I wanted to happen. It took this special group of people to really show me what I was to blind to see.

As my experience continues with the P.O.S. family so does my appreciation and love for them. I don't need validation. I know who I am, but I always need the truth. I don't need the pity party. I am feeling great about myself and I keep that in check. But I love my support.
With out breaking down that wall I wouldn't  have  understood the value in being compassionate and understanding beyond my own personal views. That's the kind of circle I have. As we learn  individually we grow together. As we each shine in our own life's we encourage each other to shine theirs.

A circle's only strength is the links that connect it....

... behind the.L.I.E

There has been some real times in my experience with L.I.E .... but me personally the biggest thing I got from it was that no matter what we don't give up. I never been one to give up but today I know what it is to never want to give up on what you see for others. Loyalty Is not just a gesture, a phone call, or even a deep hearted conversation. It's standing up for those when they aren't around, wanting the best always, trusting, and listen.  Being willing to learn grow and teach The loyalty goes beyond day to day. It's a unspoken bound, it's understanding, it's a sacrifice. Without losing yourself you think of others and what's best even when they don't see what's best for themselves. Thank you L.I.E for teaching Me.

Times to remember

There are moments in time that you will always remember, there are times you wont forget. There are moments you stop and take in, those are the moments you take with you. The moments you loved, learned, laughed, even cried are the moments you live to experience, they show you what really matter. The ones that make you happy and better. I live for those moments. With the P.O.S. family I love those moments. They are the moments i get to take wit me everyday. And cant wait for greater moments in time.
